Campaign Counsel and Campaign Feasibility Study |
Fund Development Plan

In collaboration with ViTreo Group in Calgary, Alberta I have undertaken campaign counsel and campaign/fund development planning for clients in the academic and healthcare sectors. I recently conducted a campaign feasibility study for a post secondary institution in Alberta, completing interviews with key donors and volunteers, gaining input on a test case for support and testing campaign goals. We developed and provided a bespoke fund development plan to help them build capacity and become campaign ready. Also in collaboration with ViTreo Group, I provided campaign counsel services and major gift strategy advice for a healthcare foundation in Edmonton, Alberta.

Retreat Facilitation

In October 2023, I had the pleasure of planning and facilitating a board and staff retreat for Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital Foundation. We held a half day of team building and fundraising training activities in a group session, their first in-person get-together since the COVID-19 pandemic began. Staff and board members worked diligently together in groups for a team-building session that generated a great deal of conversation and a lot of laughter. Following a presentation about major gift fundraising and campaign success, the group was very engaged in discussing ways the foundation board can participate in helping staff in their small shop succeed in their campaign fundraising. It was an exciting and productive day.

Board Training on Campaign Fundraising

In 2020 and 2021 I conducted training sessions with the Campaign Cabinet and Board of the Almonte General Hospital – Fairview Manor Foundation. Board members and staff participated virtually in presentations and discussions about campaign fundraising, including “How to eat an Elephant” and “Major Gift Fundraising – Moves Management”.

Margaret presented at the Ottawa Valley Hospital Foundations Retreat. Her information was both informative and valuable. The years of coaching Philanthropy has positioned her as an expert. I can highly recommend her.
