About me...
I am a proud alumna of Memorial University of Newfoundland, holding 3 degrees: a Master of Business Administration, a Master of Science, and a Bachelor of Science. My combined background in business and science gives me a unique perspective and an appreciation for the "Impact Sector".
I believe in giving back to my profession and my community - I'm an active volunteer in a variety of professional and community organizations. I have served as a member of Rotary International and I'm currently a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), and the Canadian Association of Gift Planners (CAGP). I am a Director with the Board of the Community Foundation of Newfoundland and Labrador and the Board of the AFP Foundation for Philanthropy, Canada. I also volunteer with Puppets Up!, and am one of the Founding Circle for the Mississippi Mills Community Fund.
I enjoy working with clients in the not-for-profit sector to help them build fundraising capacity. My services include fund development assessments, planning and campaign services, major gifts and planned giving programs. I plan and facilitate board and staff retreats, provide custom training programs and fundraising coaching to build skills and teamwork that lead to more effective, elevated levels of fundraising. As a fractional fundraiser, I bring part-time, embedded leadership to move fundraising forward—turning strategy into action, growing donor relationships, and securing the gifts that power the organization's mission.
In addition to my solo consulting practice, I am a Senior Associate with ViTreo Group, a nationally recognized non-profit leadership and development agency.
